Helping the homeless and low income since 2013
Down But Not Out (DBNO) is a volunteer-driven nonprofit dedicated to providing essential resources to the homeless and low-income
communities. Our mission is to offer hot meals, hygiene kits, clothing, and emergency preparedness resources ensuring that those who are down are never out.
In 2013, three friends with a passion for helping others saw the growing need for expanded outreach in Los Angeles. While volunteering, they realized that existing efforts only reached a fraction of the homeless population. Determined to do more, they formed DBNO, a grassroots organization committed to reaching the most underserved areas.
Since then, DBNO has been active every single Thursday without fail, growing solely through word-of-mouth and community support.
More than a decade later, our mission continues to grow solely through the generosity of people like you. Find out how you can get involved.
As a grassroots organization, we rely entirely on word-of-mouth and community support. You can help us provide hot meals and hygiene kits by making a donation today.
